How does the legal paperwork work in BC?
Jonathan guides you through getting your marriage licence, signs with you and your witnesses on the day, and files everything for you after the ceremony. Your Marriage Certificate arrives in 6 to 10 weeks. BC licences are valid for 3 months, so there is a right time to buy it, and Jonathan will tell you when.
Can we write our own vows?
Yes, and Jonathan is happy to help. You will get ideas, examples, and gentle editing so your vows sound like you and feel good to read aloud.
How far ahead should we book?
Popular Saturdays fill early, so reach out as soon as you have your date and venue. Early enquiries give you the best choice of meeting times and planning support.
Can we include family or faith traditions that matter to us?
Absolutely. Jonathan welcomes the readings, rituals, and family moments that reflect both of your backgrounds and the people you love. You approve every word together before the day.
What happens if our plans change?
Reach out early and Jonathan will work with you to adjust the date or details where possible. Early conversations give us the best chance to find a plan that works for everyone.
Do we get to read the ceremony before the day?
Yes. Your ceremony is written for you, and you see the full text in advance. The day itself holds only happy surprises.
