Meet Jon

We lead out of who we are.

I coach from a well of compassion to support leaders.

Jonathan Evans, Vancouver, BC

MA, BEd, BSc, PCC, CEC, CPCM, PMP, CSM

I build high-performing teams. In my 20+ years as a leader, nothing has prepared me for peak performance as much as coaching.

And when a leader flourishes, teams thrive!

If we want real transformation, we need a trustworthy partner to reframe challenges and our leadership identity.

I started working at the University of Waterloo in a BioTech lab and discovered my true passion was beyond Petri dishes and teaching undergraduates. I became a teacher in Outdoor Education and began working as a ropes course instructor with executives and teams. Here, I recognized the transformative power of reflective leadership and intentional conversations in unlocking team potential. Since then, I’ve effectively developed leaders with my signature compassion and drive.

As a certified executive coach, I support my clients with my unparalleled process based on neuroscience, soul care, and ICF coaching values, ethics, and competencies. As an advisor in Post-Secondary education, I blend my 20+ years leading non-profits and government relations to impact Indigenous faculty, students, and organizations through community transformation through education.

My most significant success is unlocking executive leaders’ navigation of complex organizations and empowering their teams to optimize results with my Agile P6 team coaching model, which assesses People, Purpose, Processes, Priorities, Performance, and placemaking. What you can measure, you can improve.

Notable Achievements

I was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2012) for my leadership in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

My MA at Regent College (2018) concentrated on leadership, “Navigating Change in a Disruptive Culture.”

My second MA (2025) at Royal Roads University is Executive Coaching and Organizational Development. My Graduate Certificate in Professional Communication and Management gave me conflict resolution, communications, and public relations tools to serve my clients.

As a PMP, Scrum Master and Certified Agile specialist, I bring a LEAN mindset and Agile practices to your organization.

As a certified Birkman consultant, I have many tools for self-awareness and team-building, conflict resolution, and succession planning.

I’ve learned that books and courses inform, but leadership is forged in the fire of reflective experience through coaching!

I have supported leaders as a coach, executive director, board chair, pastor and college instructor.

Over two decades ago, I embarked on a journey to unlock possibilities for those facing addiction and homelessness in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

Along this road, I have gained invaluable wisdom about how we can all reach our highest capacity – no matter what barriers are present. It is truly exciting to witness anyone break through their limitations!

I’ve learned this partnering with:

– Indigenous career upgrading

– Entrepreneurs in start-ups

– Workplaces in conflict resolution

– Newcomers establish careers in Canada

– Leaders in transitions

– Executives leading complex systems

– Fire survivors in grief

– Teams through strategic planning

– New managers build confidence to lead

I’m encouraging, curious and driven in pursuing your leadership success.
